Land Acknowledgement
When working on this series of photographs, I resided on Tribal lands and profited from the good care many generations of Indigenous Peoples took of it. The City of Tulsa and the related surrounding territories I visited are on the land of these American Indian tribes: Mvskoke (Muskogee/Creek), Tsalagi (Cherokee), Ni-u-kon-ska (Osage), Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Kadohadacho (Caddo), Kitikiti (Wichita), Chikashsha (Chickasaw), Chaticks si Chaticks (Pawnee), (Ka’igwu) Kiowa, and Ogáxpa (Quapaw). All the other Peoples of Eastern Oklahoma not mentioned by name here, on whose lands I travelled, shall be honored and thanked here, too.
I acknowledge and mourn the prolonged mistreatment and forcibly removement of these American peoples of honor and sophistication by newcomers I am associated to by my European descendant. I sincerely hope that my impressions of all cultures I gathered convey an image that furthers dialogue and understanding between the different human, non-human and spiritual inhabitants of these territories, who welcomed me without preconception.
